This is a guest post from my good friend, Jake Larsen. Jake has a passion for video making and that lead him to TV Advertising in LA, where he worked with FOX Entertainment on TV shows like 24, American Idol and House. From there Jake helped grow ZAGG’s YouTube Channel to 23 million channel views (improving online sales up to 65%). With the Success of ZAGG’s use of video, Google asked them to be YouTube Marketing Ambassadors, with the responsibility of helping other business and organizations use YouTube effectively. Jake has great insight and experience in how businesses can increase sales and brand awareness using video and YouTube. He recently quit his job at Zagg to start his own company, Video Power Marketing, which helps people and companies leverage video and YouTube Advertising to increase their online sales, traffic, conversions and brand.
With that, here is Jake’s story and tips on what you need to do before you quit your day job to start a company.
